Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) finished 6-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Klima lost 11-2 to Gustav Eskilsson (Skelleftea, SWE), then responded with a 4-3 win over Alex Leichter (Boston, USA). Klima won 10-2 against Daniel Alex Kim (Almaty, KAZ). Klima went on to lose 7-2 against Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR). Klima responded with a 8-7 win over Se Hyeon Seong (Uiseong, KOR). Klima went on to lose 5-4 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, UK). Klima responded with a 8-2 win over Aaron Squires (Kitchener-Waterloo, CAN). Klima won 8-3 against Kohsuke Hirata (Kitami, JPN), then won 8-5 against Alexey Timofeev (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.

Klima earned 7.605 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Winter Universiade Men. For week 25 of the event schedule, Klima did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Klima ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
