Cotter/Cotter responded with a 6-4 win over Maria Komarova/Daniil Goryachev (St. Petersburg, RUS). Cotter/Cotter went on to lose 7-2 against Rui Wang/De Xin Ba (Harbin, CHN). Cotter/Cotter lost 8-6 to Tabitha Peterson/Joe Polo (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
