Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB) won 8-6 over Veronica Smith (Charlottetown, PEI) in the Final of the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, held December 1 - 3, 2017 at the Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club in Saint John, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Robichaud won 7-5 over Robyn MacPhee (Charlottetown, PEI) in the semifinals of the 2017 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada; and won 7-3 over Sarah Mallais (Saint John, NB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada;
 
Robichaud finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Robichaud lost 5-2 to MacPhee, then responded with a 7-1 win over Kathy Hicks (Fredericton , NB). Robichaud won 6-3 against Mallais, then won 8-7 against Heidi Hanlon (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic Championship title, Robichaud earned 14.333 world rankings points along with the $1,700CDN first prize cheque, moving up 47 spots the World Ranking Standings into 120th place overall with 27.125 total points. Robichaud ranks 110th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.786 points earned so far this season.
