To advance to the championship game, Auld won 6-5 over Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON) in the semifinals of the 2018 StuSells Toronto Tankard in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and won 6-4 over Kerry Galusha (Yellowknife, NT) in the quarterfinals.

Auld finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Auld defeated Jo-Ann Rizzo (Tornto, ON) 8-2, then went on to lose 4-2 against Galusha. Auld responded with a 4-3 win over Julie McEvoy (Halifax, NS). Auld won 5-3 against Jie Mei (Beijing, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the StuSells Toronto Tankard, Auld take home 28.277 world rankings points along with the $3,500CDN prize. Auld move up 39 spots after posting a net gain of 25.858 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 65th overall with 52.742 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Auld ranks 38th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.973 points earned so far this season.
