Kristy Watling (Winnipeg, MB) lost 5-1 to 's Barb Spencer in the Final of the Atkins Curling Supplies Classic, held October 12 - 15, 2018 at the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Watling won 7-1 over Alyssa Calvert (Brandon, MB) in the semifinals of the 2018 Atkins Curling Supplies Classic in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; and won 8-2 over Jennifer Clark-Rouire (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Watling finished 3-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Watling defeated Laura Burtnyk (Winnipeg, MB) 6-1, then won 6-5 against Tori Koana (Fujiyoshida, JPN) and 6-5 against Abby Ackland (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Atkins Curling Supplies Classic, Watling take home 17.417 world rankings points along with the $1,600CDN prize, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 53rd place overall with 70.831 total points.
