To advance to the championship game, Barry won 7-6 over Yuta Matsumura (Sapporo, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2018 Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada; and won 6-5 over Deane Horning (Castlegar, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Barry finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barry defeated Wylie Eden (Kelowna, BC) 9-3, then won 8-4 against Horning. Barry went on to lose 8-6 against Matsumura. Barry responded with a 8-4 win over Jason Montgomery (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Kamloops Crown of Curling, Barry take home 16.560 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN prize, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 53rd place overall with 78.300 total points. Barry ranks 38th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 44.945 points earned so far this season.
