Chelsea Carey (Edmonton, AB) qualified for the 2019 Meridian Canadian Open playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 10-3 against Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO). of the 2019 Meridian Canadian Open in North Battleford, Saskatchewan;

Carey finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carey lost 8-3 to Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB), droppimg another game, 7-3 to Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) where Carey responded with a 9-5 win over Isabella Wrana (Stockholm, SWE). Carey won 7-5 against Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB), then won 6-2 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
