Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) lost 5-4 to Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Players' Championship, held April 9 - 14, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg won 5-4 over Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) in the semifinals of the 2019 Players' Championship in Toronto, Ontario; and won 5-4 over Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the quarterfinals.
 
Hasselborg finished 5-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg defeated Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) 8-4, then won 5-2 against Einarson and 7-3 against Fujisawa. Hasselborg won 6-3 against Scheidegger, then won 10-4 against Chelsea Carey (Edmotnon, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Players' Championship, Hasselborg take home 61.805 world rankings points along with the $24,000CDN prize, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 27.116 after improving upon their best so far this season. Hasselborg ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 478.292 points earned so far this season.
