After advancing directly to the championship game, Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB) lost 8-5 to Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling, held December 5 - 9, 2018 in Estevan, Saskatchewan.
 
Einarson finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Einarson lost 6-5 to Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON), then responded with a 7-6 win over Alli Flaxey (Winnipeg, MB). Einarson won 6-3 against Jones, then won 8-7 against Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) and 8-5 against Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB). Einarson won 8-5 against Laura Walker (Edmonton, AB), then won 7-3 against Chelsea Carey (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling, Einarson take home 63.901 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN prize, remaining in 4th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 55.046 after improving upon their best so far this season. Einarson ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 346.702 points earned so far this season.
