Diane Gushulak (New Westminster, BC) lost 6-4 to Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) in the Final of the King Cash Spiel, held September 14 - 16, 2018 at the Golden Ears Curling Club in Maple Ridge, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Gushulak won 9-4 over Kesa Van Osch (Parksville, BC) in the semifinals
 
Gushulak finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushulak defeated Brown 7-5, then won 10-7 against Shiella Cowan (New Westminster, BC) and 7-3 against Danielle Shaughnessy (Nanaimo, BC). Gushulak won 7-1 against Brette Richards (Kelowna, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the King Cash Spiel, Gushulak take home 14.654 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN prize, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 55th place overall with 59.116 total points. Gushulak ranks 39th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.654 points earned so far this season.
