To advance to the championship game, Barry won 7-4 over Sean Geall (Kelowna, BC) in the semifinals of the 2018 King Cash Spiel in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Barry finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barry lost 8-6 to Geall, then responded with a 6-4 win over Rob Dennis (Richmond, BC). Barry won 6-1 against Lyle Sieg (Seattle, WA), then won 8-3 against Matthew Blandford (Victoria, BC) and 7-3 against Jason Peckham (Maple Ridge , BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the King Cash Spiel, Barry take home 11.128 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN prize, moving up 14 spots the World Ranking Standings into 68th place overall with 52.822 total points. Barry ranks 37th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.128 points earned so far this season.
