Sarah Mallais (Saint John, NB) qualified for the 2018 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 10-8 against Andrea Crawford (Fredericton, NB). of the 2018 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada;

Mallais finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mallais defeated Erica Cluff (Fredericton, NB) 7-4, then went on to lose 9-3 against Cathlia Ward (St. John's, NL). Mallais responded with a 7-6 win over Sijia Liu (Harbin, CHN). Mallais won 9-5 against Sandy Comeau (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

Mallais earned 6.565 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 129th place overall with 24.314 total points.
