Rebecca Morrison (Stirling, SCO) qualified for the 2018 Latvia International Challenger playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-2 against Maggie Wilson (Stirlign, SCO). of the 2018 Latvia International Challenger in Tukums, Latvia;

Morrison finished 3-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morrison defeated Virginija Paulauskaite (Vilnius, LTU) 8-1, then went on to lose 8-7 against Marta Pluta (Gliwice, POL). Morrison responded with a 5-4 win over Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT). Morrison won 5-4 against Ieva Rudzite (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.

Morrison earned 5.375 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Latvia International Challenger, moving up 41 spots the World Ranking Standings into 188th place overall with 7.033 total points.
