Stern finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stern defeated Irene Schori (Limmattal, SUI) 8-2, then won 10-2 against Tori Koana (Fujiyoshida, JPN) and 7-6 against Yilun Jiang (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Glynhill Ladies International, Stern take home 26.402 world rankings points along with the $3,490CDN prize.
