Jason Montgomery (Victoria, BC) lost 9-4 to Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) in the Final of the BC Mens Curling Championship, held January 29 - February 3, 2019 in Quesnel, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, Montgomery won 11-5 over Josh Barry (Vancouver, BC) in the semifinals of the 2019 BC Mens Curling Championship in Quesnel, British Columbia;

Montgomery finished 5-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Montgomery defeated Tyler Klymchuk (New Westminster, BC) 12-5, then won 9-2 against Sean Geall (Abbotsford, BC) and 7-4 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC). Montgomery went on to lose 7-5 against Cotter. Montgomery responded with a 8-3 win over Matthew Blandford (Victoria, BC). Montgomery won 10-5 against Dean Joanisse (Maple Ridge, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the BC Mens Curling Championship, Montgomery take home 12.994 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Montgomery did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Montgomery ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
