Jia Liang Zang (Harbin, CHN) finished 2-4 in the 8-team qualifying round. . Zang went on to lose 7-3 against Walstad. Zang responded with a 5-3 win over Ruohonen. Zang went on to lose 6-4 against Edin in their final qualifying round match.
