Brette Richards (Kelowna, BC) run at the 2019 BC Scotties came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-4 loss to Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC). of the 2019 BC Scotties in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada;

Richards finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Richards lost 8-5 to Brown, then responded with a 7-6 win over Kesa Van Osch (Parksville, BC). Richards won 7-6 against Sarah Wark (Abbotsford, BC), then won 6-5 against Karla Thompson (Kamloops, BC). Richards went on to lose 7-6 against Diane Gushulak (New Westminster, BC). Richards responded with a 10-7 win over Kim Slattery (Vernon, BC). Richards went on to lose 7-6 against Lindsay Hudyma (Vancouver, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Richards earned 7.331 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the BC Scotties. For week 25 of the event schedule, Richards did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Richards ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.

WOLFVILLE, N.S. — Edmonton’s Team Selena Sturmay solidified a berth into the 2025 Montana’s Canadian Curling Trials, presented by Connect Hearing, with a 9-4 win over Team Kayla MacMillan (Victoria) in the third and final game of the women’s best-of-three final at the 2025 Home Hardware Canadian Pre-Trials on Sunday afternoon.
