After advancing directly to the championship game, Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) lost 6-4 to Stuart Thompson (Dartmouth, NS) in the Final of the Nova Scotia Deloitte Tankard, held January 21 - 27, 2019 in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Murphy finished 7-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Murphy defeated Kevin Ouellette (Halifax, NS) 9-3, then won 7-3 against Doug MacKenzie (Halifax, NS) and 8-4 against Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS). Murphy won 8-7 against Kendal Thompson (Halifax, NS), then won 10-3 against Ian Fitzner-Leblanc (Halifax, NS) and 9-8 against Chad Stevens (Halifax, NS). Murphy won 8-4 against Thompson in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Nova Scotia Deloitte Tankard, Murphy take home 9.488 world rankings points. For week 24 of the event schedule, Murphy did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Murphy ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
