Vlada Rumyanceva (Moscow, RUS) won 8-7 over Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, CAN) in the Final of the World Junior Curling Championships, held February 16 - 23, 2019 in Liverpool, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Rumyanceva won 8-6 over Yu Han (Beijing, CHN) in the semifinals
 
Rumyanceva finished 6-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rumyanceva defeated Tova Sundberg (Stockholm, SWE) 10-9, then won 7-4 against Ami Enami (Karuizawa, JPN) and 11-6 against Cait Flannery (Chaska, USA). Rumyanceva went on to lose 7-6 against Raphaela Keiser (Flims, SUI). Rumyanceva lost 9-7 to Han where Rumyanceva responded with a 7-4 win over Lisa Davie (Stirling, SCO). Rumyanceva won 10-7 against Min Ji Kim (Chuncheon city, KOR), then won 10-3 against Maia Ramsfjell (Jar, NOR). Rumyanceva went on to lose 8-3 against Sturmay in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the World Junior Curling Championships Championship title, Rumyanceva earned 35.568 world rankings points. For week 28 of the event schedule, Rumyanceva did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Rumyanceva ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
