Jim Sullivan (Moncton, NB) finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sullivan defeated Larry McCormack (Oromocto, NB) 5-4, then won 5-2 against Dodie Dickison (Miramichi, NB). Sullivan went on to lose 5-4 against Scott Kidd (Saint John, NB). Sullivan responded with a 7-6 win over Rob Hutton (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
