Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) run at the 2019 Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-4 loss to Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB).  of the 2019 Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada; Whyte advanced through the quarterfinals with a 5-1 win over John Epping (Toronto, ON).  
 
Whyte finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Whyte lost 6-4 to Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB), then responded with a 8-1 win over Glen Jackson (Victoria, BC). Whyte went on to lose 7-2 against Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB). Whyte responded with a 5-4 win over Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK). Whyte won 8-7 against Daniel Wenzek (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Whyte earned 40.375 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 25th place overall with 187.806 total points. Whyte ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 146.269 points earned so far this season.
