To advance to the championship game, Ruohonen won 7-4 over Dominik Maerki (Chaska, MN) in the semifinals of the 2019 Let's Cure Lupus St. Paul Cash Spiel in St. Paul; and won 7-2 over Jed Brundidge (St. Paul, MN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Let's Cure Lupus St. Paul Cash Spiel in St. Paul;
 
Ruohonen finished 4-0 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ruohonen defeated Minnesota's Craig Nicko 7-4, then won 9-0 against Jeremy Hozjan (Charlotte, NC) and 11-1 against Brundidge. Ruohonen won 4-3 against Chase Sinnett (Wayland, MA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Let's Cure Lupus St. Paul Cash Spiel Championship title, Ruohonen earned 18.521 world rankings points along with the $3,995CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 22nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 3.901 after improving upon their best so far this season.
