To advance to the championship game, van Dorp won 5-3 over Joel Retornaz (Pinerolo, ITA) in the semifinals of the 2019 Curling Masters Champery in Champery, Switzerland; and won 7-2 over Andrin Schnider (St. Gallen, SUI) in the quarterfinals.
 
van Dorp finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, van Dorp defeated Rich Ruohonen (Minneapolis, USA) 8-6, then won 6-4 against Jan Klossner (Langenthal, SUI) and 7-4 against Lucien Lottenbach (Zug, SUI). van Dorp won 10-4 against Simon Gempeler (Adelboden, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Curling Masters Champery Championship title, van Dorp earned 47.081 world rankings points along with the $13,294CDN first prize cheque. van Dorp move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 34.318 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 24th overall with 174.469 total points on the World Ranking Standings. van Dorp ranks 20th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 72.365 points earned so far this season.
