Italy's Sandro Dal Farra 16-1, then won 11-2 against Italy's Maurizio Cagol and 6-4 against Yu Long Sun (Beijing, CHN). Kurokhtin won 6-4 against Italy's Gabriele Dallapiccola, then won 7-5 against Italy's Paolo Ioriatti. Kurokhtin went on to lose 7-1 against Shuai Yu Zhang (Beijing, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
