Farzana Hussain (Georgetown, GUY) finished 3-3 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hussain lost
11-5 to Germany's Pia-Lisa Schoell, droppimg another game, 7-5 to Denmark's Christine Gronbech where Hussain responded with a 8-2 win over Anastasia Kotova (Kiev, UKR). Hussain won 8-2 against Eldena Dakaj (Prishtina, KOS), then won 9-4 against Heather Russell (Queensberry, WAL). Hussain went on to lose 13-2 against Ying Yang (Beijing, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Hussain earned 3.315 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 3.314 after improving upon their best so far this season. Hussain ranks 174th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.314 points earned so far this season.
