Sergei Glukhov (Moscow, RUS) finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Glukhov defeated Yuta Matsumura (Kitami, JPN) 8-4, then won 11-4 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE). Glukhov went on to lose 7-5 against Qiang Zou (Beijing, CHN). Glukhov responded with a 10-3 win over Andrew Reed (Kent, ENG). Glukhov won 15-7 against Diego Tompkins (Mexico City, MEX), then won 11-6 against Borys Jasiecki (Sopot, POL). Glukhov went on to lose 12-7 against Jermu Pollanen (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Men's World Qualification Event, Glukhov take home 14.974 world rankings points, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 40th place overall with 108.582 total points. Glukhov ranks 44th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 91.042 points earned so far this season.
