Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) won 10-4 over Kendal Thompson (Halifax, NS) in the Final Murphy advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Deloitte Nova Scotia Tankard, held January 20 - 26, 2020 at the Dartmouth Curling Club in Dartmouth, Canada.

Murphy finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Murphy defeated Alan O'Leary (Halifax, NS) 9-4, then won 7-3 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) and 9-1 against Nova Scotia's Andrew Gibson. Murphy won 8-4 against Chad Stevens (Truro, NS), then won 9-7 against Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS). Murphy went on to lose 6-5 against Thompson. Murphy responded with a 11-4 win over Stuart Thompson (Dartmouth, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Deloitte Nova Scotia Tankard Championship title, Murphy earned 11.813 world rankings points. Murphy move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 2.565 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 34th overall with 123.505 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Murphy ranks 34th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 114.258 points earned so far this season.
