To advance to the championship game, Moores/Wheeler won 10-4 over Becca Wood/Chris Bond (Denver, CO) in the semifinals of the 2022 Cincinnati Mixed Doubles Cup in Cincinnati, Ohio; and won 10-1 over Daisy-Scarlett MacCallum/Brian Terwedo (Minneapolis , MN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Cincinnati Mixed Doubles Cup in Cincinnati, Ohio;
 
Moores/Wheeler finished 3-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Moores/Wheeler defeated Tracy Sorenson/Cameron Sorenson (Bloomington, IL) 10-7, then went on to lose 8-7 against Sarah Burns/Scott Piroth (Bowling Green, OH). Moores/Wheeler responded with a 8-4 win over Audra Adams/Patrick Connolly (Cincinnati, OH). Moores/Wheeler won 5-4 against Shannon Dunphy/Chris Perlson (Cincinnati, OH) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Cincinnati Mixed Doubles Cup Championship title, Moores/Wheeler earned 9.875 world rankings points along with the $900CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 778th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 2.178 after improving upon their best so far this season.
