Kim Schwaller (Bern, SUI) finished 5-4 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schwaller defeated Axel Landelius (Mjolby, SWE) 10-5, then went on to lose 9-7 against Giacomo Colli (Trentino, ITA). Schwaller lost 9-6 to Lukas Hostmaelingen (Lillehammer, NOR) where Schwaller responded with a 8-6 win over Daniel Casper (Chaska, USA). Schwaller won 7-5 against Owen Purcell (Upper Tantallon, CAN), then won 11-3 against William Becker (Naseby, NZL). Schwaller went on to lose 9-1 against Benny Kapp (Fuessen, GER). Schwaller responded with a 9-3 win over JaeBeom Lee (Gyeongsan, KOR). Schwaller went on to lose 8-5 against James Craik (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
