To advance to the championship game, Colter won 8-4 over Brent MacDougall (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals

Colter finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Colter lost 5-3 to Thompson, then responded with a 5-4 win over Paul Flemming (Halifax, NS). Colter won 8-5 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the The Curling Store Cashspiel Championship title, Colter earned 18.397 world rankings points along with the $2,700CDN first prize cheque, moving up 50 spots the World Ranking Standings into 68th place overall with 34.342 total points. Colter ranks 26th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.397 points earned so far this season.
