Japan's Yuya Takigahira won 7-5 against Japan's Masaki Ishikawa, then won 7-3 against Japan's Naoki Kanazawa. Japan's Yuya Takigahira went on to lose 7-5 against Japan's Toa Nakahara. Japan's Yuya Takigahira responded with a 8-6 win over Japan's Ryouichi Saitou in their final qualifying round match.
