Buchy lost 7-1 to Wade White (Lac La Biche, AB) where Buchy responded with a 5-4 win over Mike Desilets (Thunder Bay, NONT). Buchy won 8-2 against Peter Mackey (Iqaluit, NU), then won 10-3 against Terry Miller (Whitehorse, YK) and 6-5 against Keith Ryan (Carol, NL). Buchy went on to lose 5-2 against Terry Odishaw (Moncton, NB). Buchy lost 7-2 to Francois Roberge (Levis, QC). Buchy lost 10-3 to Darrell McKee (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Buchy ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
