To advance to the championship game, Laycock won 8-3 over Kelly Knapp (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2022 S3 Group Curling Stadium Series in Swift Current, Saskatchewan; and won 7-5 over Daymond Bernath (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 S3 Group Curling Stadium Series in Swift Current, Saskatchewan;
 
Laycock finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Laycock defeated Ben Gamble (Regina, SK) 9-3, then won 6-3 against Bernath and 4-2 against Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the S3 Group Curling Stadium Series Championship title, Laycock earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $2,300CDN first prize cheque. Laycock move up 25 spots after posting a net gain of 18.354 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 48th overall with 65.227 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Laycock ranks 26th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 44.500 points earned so far this season.
