Lydia Valles (San-Sebastian, ESP) lost 9-6 to Caro van Oosterwyck (Zemst, BEL) in the Final of the European Curling Championships C-Division, held April 30 - May 5, 2022 in Kaunas, Lithuania. To advance to the championship game, Valles won 7-6 over Miia Ahrenberg (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in the semifinals of the 2022 European Curling Championships C-Division in Kaunas, Lithuania;

Valles finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Valles defeated Iva Penava (Zagreb, CRO) 8-6, then went on to lose 8-4 against van Oosterwyck. Valles responded with a 12-1 win over Allison Brageul (Lyon, FRA). Valles won 6-3 against Laura Beever (Queensferry, WAL), then won 9-7 against Anastasia Kotova (Kyiv, UKR). Valles went on to lose 8-4 against Ireland's Ailsa Anderson. Valles lost 8-6 to Ahrenberg in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the European Curling Championships C-Division, Valles take home 4.950 world rankings points, moving up 201 spots the World Ranking Standings into 162nd place overall with 4.950 total points. Valles ranks 161st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.950 points earned so far this season.
