To advance to the championship game, Huerlimann won 4-2 over Santa Blumberga (Riga, LAT) in the semifinals of the 2022 WCT Latvia International Challenger in Tukums, Latvia; and won 5-4 over Csilia Halasz (Budapest, HUN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 WCT Latvia International Challenger in Tukums, Latvia;
Huerlimann finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Huerlimann defeated Kateryna Yakymets (Kyiv, UKR) 9-1, then won 6-5 against Eirin Mesloe (Lillehammer, NOR) and 6-5 against Lisa Farnell (Kent, ENG). Huerlimann won 7-5 against Blumberga in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the WCT Latvia International Challenger Championship title, Huerlimann earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $1,892CDN first prize cheque, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 55th place overall with 53.459 total points.
