Jessica Zheng/Victor Pietrangelo (Niagara Falls, ON) lost 8-3 to Kayla MacMillan/Sterling Middleton (Vancouver, BC) in the Final of the Next Gen U25 Mixed Doubles, held September 2 - 4, 2023 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Zheng/Pietrangelo won 7-4 over Madison Kleiter/Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2023 Next Gen U25 Mixed Doubles in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-3 over Sarah Bailey/Dylan Sipura (Georgetown, ON) in the quarterfinals.
 
Zheng/Pietrangelo finished 4-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Zheng/Pietrangelo defeated 's Allie Iskiw/Chloe Fediuk 8-5, then won 7-6 against Anna Munroe/Steven Leong (Edmonton, AB). Zheng/Pietrangelo went on to lose 7-6 against Jessica Wytrychowski/Michael Dumont (Calgary, AB). Zheng/Pietrangelo responded with a 12-6 win over Cailey Locke/Simon Perry (NL, CAN). Zheng/Pietrangelo won 6-4 against Bailey/Sipura in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Next Gen U25 Mixed Doubles, Zheng/Pietrangelo take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize. For week 6 of the event schedule, Zheng/Pietrangelo did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 35th place on the World Ranking Standings with 66.250 total points.
