Scheel finished 4-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scheel defeated Stephanie Senneker (Port Huron, MI) 7-4, then won 8-3 against Delaney Strouse (Traverse City, MI). Scheel went on to lose 9-5 against Christine McMakin (Minneapolis, MN). Scheel responded with a 9-6 win over Allory Johnson (Blaine, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
