Jaelyn Cotter/Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) finished 4-3 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cotter/Cotter lost 7-6 to Jackie McCormick/Trevor Bonot (Stratton, NO), then responded with a 9-5 win over Lauren Cheal/Greg Cheal (Sherbrooke, QC). Cotter/Cotter went on to lose 9-6 against Nancy Martin/Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Cotter/Cotter lost 7-6 to Paige Papley/Evan van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB) where Cotter/Cotter responded with a 10-5 win over Kelly Tremblay/Pierre Lanoue (Boucherville, QC). Cotter/Cotter won 7-3 against Amanda Sluchinski/Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB), then won 6-5 against Marlee Powers/Luke Saunders (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

The berth into the first round of the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship playoffs earned Cotter/Cotter 15.000 world rankings points. For week 35 of the event schedule, Cotter/Cotter did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 13th place on the World Ranking Standings with 81.814 total points. Cotter/Cotter ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 81.814 points earned so far this season.
