Gosgens lost 8-4 to Sixten Totzek (FÃ¼ssen, GER) where Gosgens responded with a 10-7 win over Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.

Gosgens earned 10.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 23rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 5.625 after improving upon their best so far this season. Gosgens ranks 31st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 68.000 points earned so far this season.
