Casper finished 3-1 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Casper defeated Bob Leclair (Tempe, AZ) 6-5, then won 5-3 against Mason Guentzel (Saint Paul, MN). Casper went on to lose 9-5 against Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NONT). Casper responded with a 9-2 win over Wesley Wendling (Wausau, WI) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the St. Paul Cashspiel Championship title, Casper earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque.
