Traxler responded with a 7-5 win over Kim Rhyme (Minneapolis, MN). Traxler went on to lose 7-3 against Workin in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the St. Paul Cashspiel Championship title, Traxler earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 108 spots the World Ranking Standings into 115th place overall with 17.344 total points.
