Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON) finished 4-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mooibroek defeated Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS) 8-4, then won 6-4 against Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI). Mooibroek went on to lose 7-3 against James Craik (Stirling, SCO). Mooibroek lost 7-4 to Kyle Waddell (Stirling, SCO) where Mooibroek responded with a 9-2 win over Jayden King (London, ON). Mooibroek won 6-5 against Manuel to advance to a C-Qualifier game where they lost 7-3 against Schwaller in their final qualifying round match.
