Epping finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Epping defeated Darren Campbell (Tempe, AZ) 8-0, then won 6-1 against Rene Comeau (Fredericton, NB) and 5-2 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB). Epping went on to lose 6-4 against Kalthoff. Epping responded with a 6-2 win over Ethan Sampson (Chaska, MN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Ed Werenich Golden Wrench Classic presented by The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen Championship title, Epping earned 30.000 world rankings points along with the $14,428CDN first prize cheque.
