Barb Spencer (Winnipeg, MB) finished 2-3 in the 48-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Spencer defeated Crystal Webster (Grande Prairie, AB) 7-2, then went on to lose 7-6 against Patti Knezevic (Prince George, BC). Spencer lost 10-6 to Jolene Campbell (Regina, SK) where Spencer responded with a 9-7 win over Chana Martineau (Edmonton, AB). Spencer went on to lose 8-5 against Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week of the event schedule, Spencer did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Spencer ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
