Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) finished 2-3 in the 48-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Deb Santos (Edmonton, AB) 5-4, then went on to lose 7-5 against Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK). Homan lost 9-8 to Renee Sonnenberg (Grande Prairie, AB) where Homan responded with a 6-5 win over Amber Holland (Kronau, SK). Homan went on to lose 9-4 against Jolene Campbell (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
