Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) won 5-3 over Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the The Swiss Chalet National, held December 15 - 19, 2010 in Vernon, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, Martin won 6-5 over Wayne Middaugh (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2010 The Swiss Chalet National in Vernon, British Columbia; and won 9-6 over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the quarterfinals.
 
Martin finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Martin defeated Ted Appelman (Edmonton, AB) 5-4, then won 5-1 against Kevin Park (Winnipeg, MB). Martin went on to lose 5-3 against Edin. Martin responded with a 6-5 win over Jason Montgomery (Duncan, BC). Martin went on to lose 5-3 against Stoughton in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the The Swiss Chalet National Championship title, Martin earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $24,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 481.780 total points. Martin ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 197.730 points earned so far this season.
