Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, CAN) won 6-5 over Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) in the Final of the Ford World Mens Curling Championship, held April 2 - 10, 2011 in Regina, Saskatchewan.
 
Stoughton finished 10-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stoughton defeated Switzerland's Christof Schwaller 8-4, then won 9-5 against Denmark's Tommy Stjerne and 7-4 against Germany's Andy Kapp. Stoughton won 7-4 against Korea's Dong-Keun Lee, then won 5-3 against Pete Fenson (Bemidji, USA) and 11-5 against Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA). Stoughton won 7-3 against Brewster, then won 9-4 against Czech Republic's Jiri Snitil and 10-6 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Stoughton won 5-4 against Luan Chen (Harbin, CHN). Stoughton went on to lose 7-6 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Ford World Mens Curling Championship Championship title, Stoughton earned 45.000 world rankings points. Stoughton move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 33.96 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 6th overall with 337.568 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
