Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) run at the 2011 Twin Anchors Invitational came to an end in the semifinals with a 5-4 loss to Robert Schlender (Edmonton, AB). of the 2011 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; Cotter advanced through the quarterfinals with a 8-2 win over Trevor Perepolkin (Vernon, BC). of the 2011 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Cotter finished 4-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cotter defeated Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) 5-4, then won 7-3 against Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC). Cotter went on to lose 7-1 against Schlender. Cotter lost 11-5 to Alexey Tselousov (Moscow, RUS) where Cotter responded with a 6-4 win over Brad Wood (Vernon, BC). Cotter won 6-2 against Morozumi in their final qualifying round match.
 
Cotter earned 4.650 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Twin Anchors Invitational, remaining in 18th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 74.075 total points. Cotter ranks 56th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.650 points earned so far this season.
