Birchard won 9-6 against Erica Trickett (St. John's, NL). Birchard went on to lose 8-4 against Jennifer Armstrong (Rothesay, NB). Birchard responded with a 9-5 win over Peterman. Birchard won 7-4 against Kristen Streifel (Saskatoon, SK), then won 10-5 against Emily Dwyer (Halifax, NS) and 11-9 against Roxane Perron (Quebec, PQ). Birchard won 6-5 against Kesa Van Osch (Victoria, BC), then won 8-7 against Sarah Koltun (Whitehorse, YK) in their final qualifying round match.
