Johnny Jahr (Fuessen, GER) finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jahr lost 8-3 to Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA), droppimg another game, 8-7 to Korea's Soo-Hyuk Kim where Jahr responded with a 7-6 win over Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE). Jahr won 8-7 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA), then won 6-5 against Peter De Boer (Naseby, NZ) and 8-4 against Finland's Aku Kauste. Jahr won 8-7 against Yusuke Morozumi (Nagano, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Olympic Qualification Event Championship title, Jahr earned 12.500 world rankings points. For week 18 of the event schedule, Jahr did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jahr ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
